Here are the similarities that I have found. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Both of them are accomplished players in their own games. :P&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Sachin denied captaincy when offered and similarly Sonia Gandhi also denied being the prime minister after Congress won the election. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Sachin may not be the captain but often he is seen on field advising the captain may it be Dhoni, Dravid or even earlier Ganguly. Likewise, Sonia Gandhi is the one who "controls" our prime minister SMS(Sardar Manmohan Singh). :P&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Sachin Tendulkar holds an immovable place in the Indian Cricket Team and he cant be left out of the team no matter how bad he performs. I dont know why it struck me at that moment but it sure did strike well. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;We are nothing but the runners in a relay race in which we pick up something from the state that it is left to us and try our best to improve upon it so that others will find it in a better state than what was left to us. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Being an engineer, i can say that what engineers do is similar to what runners do in a relay race. They pick up an existing technology to work on and improve it to the best they can and leave it onto the forthcoming generations to make further improvements. Often are these people wrong in doing so. The language of victimization is the true victimizer. A great crippler of spirits it is.&lt;br /&gt;No one governs your destiny but you. The ultimate quality of your life is determined by the choice that you make: to play the victim or the victor.&lt;br /&gt;By blaming others for our circumstances we subscribe to the philosophy that we are mere organisms acted upon by social and economic forces than an agent with a free will. It is like denying the very quality that separates us from animals. No one succeeded by blaming his parents, his race, his bad luck or quirks of fate. The pain of hard work and the pain of regret. The pain of hard work is always more desirable than the pain of regret. It is never easy to transform ourselves. The best thing to do is often the toughest thing to do. We have to make tremendous effort on our side to become the person that we ought to be. Pebbles on the road do not have the value of diamonds because it takes much effort to mine and shape diamonds. The real value of diamonds comes only from the fact that they are rarer than the pebbles on road because they have undergone so much effort to become what they are. You may FEEL that what a person is saying is wrong but you may THINK that if you tell him what you FEEL, you may hurt his feelings. Feelings are the most unaltered form of human expression while thinking is altered by the rules that culture has imposed on us. So we clot our feeling with defensiveness and convert it into thinking and believe that what we think is what we feel. But we need to remember that even our own self will not appreciate us if we do not express our point of view. If one has a solid proposition and is willing to put all his effort into making it successful, he can find people willing to help him out. However, if funding is given primary importance, one will get stuck. Making finance the starting point of a decision making process stops businesses from taking many initiatives and ultimately slows down growth.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I believe my strength lies in understanding the needs and aspirations of the Indian customer. The Indian customer both challenges and intrigues me and as an organisation we still do not completely understand each section of our population. Our focus has been and will continue to be on watching, evaluating and capitalising the domestic consumption space. It is such a vast and diverse market by itself that there seems no apparent need to venture outside in the next couple of decades.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;India historically has been a savings-led country. Not only are we very value conscious, nothing in our country is ever wasted or thrown away. Women in India are trained from their childhood to preserve everything. This holds true for apparels as well. The average Indian wears the same shirt or trouser for years, well after its colors have faded or the buttons have come off. In every Indian city there are women who trade new utensils for old clothes that are then sold in a second hand market.
